It is OUR second wedding anniversary today too! Actually, we had no idea. We celebrate our meeting date as our anniversay (the 14th one will be coming up in two months), and we also have a Domestic Partnership date. The marriage thing we did in a really short window of time when it was legal and when I could take a sick day, and of course it has since been nullified. We actually wouldn't have remembered had not fishmael's MOTHER of all people wished him a happy anniversary over the phone on Easter, and another old friend - a very sweet old school hippie in Florida whom I adore - sent us a card congratulating us.
To celebrate, I'm leaving him tonight to spend the next few days with you.
DAMN that food looks great.

I dunno if I would have the balls to try fugu, but I guess if most people survive it, it can't be that bad (as served).... *_*

as it turns out, there are only single-digit deaths due to fugu these days, and those predominantly occur in rural japan where you might get a chef wanting to experiment - knowing that we were in a pretty prime piece of real estate in the 2nd biggest city of japan made me breathe a bit easier, and it was especially helpful to read the whole thing about chefs commiting harakiri (if that's indeed true) - although when we walked in the restaurant and saw nobody else there, i did get a brief "uh-oh" feeling...
