Yesterday was my b-day, the big 2-1.

I went and watched X-Men: First Class and then got very, very drunk. And now I'm drinking ginger tea in my pjs because while I'm not hung over, my body has been more happy with me about other things.

I tried so hard not to have expectations. I know Marvel movies well enough to know that high hopes are futile. But omg, this movie did not disappoint, if only for the shipping aspect of it.

I have friends who loved it and friends who hated it. But I've shipped Charles/Erik since the good ole days of the 90s cartoon and X-men: Evolution. This movie was just too good an opportunity to pass up!

Happy belated birthday!

I wasn't that interested in Mystique before, but this movie has turned her into one of my favourites. And lol, I forgot this in my writeup, but Erik pushing poor Banshee off the roof was hilarious. And then the "what, you were thinking it too!" afterwards. They are SO a family.

I have the kinkmeme open right now, but I'm almost afraid to actually start reading it, for fear that I'll never stop.
