I hate Valentine's day. I am also about 99% sure that I am never going to get married or *gasp* have kids. I just don't do that kind of thing. It's not me. I have been confused about what I even like in a person for so long that I don't even bother. I hate flirting and crushes and all of that stuff.
When I tell people I know I'm never going to fall in love or get married, they get so upset with me but honestly, it doesn't bother me that much. I am here on this earth for other purposes than that. Love just gets in the way.
I'm also pretty sure that Valentines Day was invented by the card companies because there was too long a gap between Christmas and Easter.

Haha yes! Thank you! I'm so with you on that! Love does get in the way. When I date, my grades go down because I have too much drama to deal with. I know myself too well; I'm great at being single! I function well and I don't want this ridiculous societal pressure from Hallmark and other card companies.

Shit! I should have added that as one of the reasons I hate Valentine's Day: the pressure to be with someone. I get enough of that from my parents!

As for those card companies; I agree! Four months was just too long for those jerks. What assholes, making all of us feel like shit so they can make money.

Thanks for the comment! Makes me feel less like a piece of shit for having an opinion.
