Will do anything for free stuff...
So...I just spent the last fifteen minutes making a baby registry I never plan on using because I can go to the store and claim a free $20 gift card. That roughly equals to $1.33 per minute of my time. Worth it? Absolutely. Now if only EVERYONE would give you free money for making a baby registry. That would be fab ( Read more... ) -

Baby Shower...and diabetes...
So, the baby shower is two weeks from Saturday. Fun, fun. I talked to Jason's mom today to discuss everything. We finally decided on a menu. We're going for cost effective with decent impact. We're going to go for Papa Murphy's pizza (3 large's for $6.99each with coupon), chips and salsa, pretzels, and popcorn. These are the party favors:

Shopping therapy...and the quest of becoming prepared...
So, I did some shopping therapy today to try and get my mind off of things going on. Granted, I didn't actually go to stores, but buying stuff is still therapy...even if it isn't at a retail store. I found an ad on craigslist for a HUGE indoor baby and kids sale. I like to think I hit pay dirt:

All I've ever wanted was what was best for my child...
I've never claimed to be the best mother, but I've always done what I have felt is in the best interest of my child. A couple years ago I was struggling drastically with homelessness, insable medical issues putting me in and out of the hospital, and had no income whatsoever. While finding deals is something that I'm pretty good at, I absolutely despise shopping. Don't get me wrong, its a lot more fun when shopping for others, but even then I just wanna get in and get out. Anyway...I got some much needed baby clothes today:

R.I.P. boy shorts, welcome granny panties
I have been forced to retire my beloved boy short underwear only to welcome the beginning of the age of granny panties. Gah! While my lovely pre-pregnancy underwear still fit, they now have a tendency to roll down due to the budding belly I now call a stomach. When I decided to come back to livejournal I came back with a clean slate. I deleted all old entries, layouts, icons, and user profile information.
