On Friday, July 25, 2008 my family (luddites that they are) finally caved and got cable.  I have gone from having 8 channels total to having over eight hundred, eight of which are simultaneously airing Yo-Yo championships.  This is ridiculous.

Maybe it's just me getting old or maybe it's the effect on  not having cable or maybe it's that I've been out of touch with mainstream pop culture for so long that I ought best be considered a forgone case, but could someone please explain to me who the fuck the Jonas Brothers are and why the fuck people want SO BADLY for me (and, you know, other ( Read more... )

You know what would be awesome?

Sleep would be awesome.  Not having to write about Hume would be awesome.  My room not smelling like a bizarre blend of wet socks and Old El Paso salsa would be awesome.  Reading a book for fun would be awesome.  Fast forwarding through the next month would be awesome.

I am currently looking for recommendations for DVD WRITING SOFTWARE which will allow me to put existing video files onto a VIDEO DVD.  Preferably, this program would be EASY TO USE and FREE TO DOWNLOAD.

Any suggestions?

 Oh god.  I love power.  I would have participated in so many more extracurricular activities if only the recruiters and the emails would have stressed that eventually I'd feel smarter than everyone and get my own set of keys.

I wish I could tell you that I spent my summer thinking deep thoughts, bettering myself, etc, but in all actuality I just listened to a lot of Bedtime Magic.

As if in a desperate effort to prove that nothing is ever nearly as entertaining as it is in my head, The Tony Danza Tap Dance Extravaganza turns out to be not a revue of Broadway favorites featuring a cast of Who's the Boss look-alikes, but rather a death metal band.  Which I suppose is funny in its own right, but nevertheless, I am disappointed ( Read more... )
