[Silence. Then...]
Mmhn...
Oh for the love of...
[A rustle as Erol lifts his head to glare sleepily at Link. His hair is mussed and his ears droop as he fights off the drugs. All in all, he looks like a dulled knife, it's kind of pathetic.]
You... mmf... do
that again and I swear... I'll skin you by inches, orders or -
[And here's the point

He hadn't slept a minute since first bringing the injured man here - it's been over three days. Link definitely has no trouble staying up for three days straight, but once it gets past 72 hours he really starts to crash. So, having shut Erol up by ordering a nice big dose of vicodin for him, he took the opportunity to get some sleep, too.
The young kid looks so peaceful. Don't you want to wake him up, Erol?]

It wasn't as if Erol had to be asleep for him to get some sleep. The elf wasn't yet capable of sitting up by himself, never mind threatening the boy. And IF Link was serious about this little watch business, he'd have been far better to choose to sleep while Erol was awake so he could watch out for himself, and wake the boy should there be trouble.
But no. Link chose to have Erol sedated, while he himself caught some shut-eye, leaving the entire scene unguarded save for the robot which had an agenda of its own. Pathetic. Erol was hardly the strongest strategist in the Guard, but he'd have been flogged for making a decision like that.
With a snarl of disgust, Erol threw a cup full of water at him.]
WAKE UP!!
[Oh... ow, ow, OW. Throwing things was definitely out of his movement range. MotherFUCKER. Erol let his head thud back against the pillows, baring his teeth in a silent snarl as ( ... )

What... what happened? Oh... right, he'd decided to take a nap. Blinking, he relaxes just a little and then looks down at the front of his shirt to realize he's all wet.]
...
[Crap. How long did he sleep for? He didn't mean for it to be more than a few hours' nap, but there Erol is, wide awake, now. He frowns at him and sighs in intense annoyance.]
...Sorry about that. Jerk.

"Sorry?!" You idiot. What's to stop someone from coming in here and slitting both our throats?? I'd have you assigned to sewer patrol for a week if you were mine. Of all the idiotic - if you're going to sleep while the only other pair of eyes are bloody sedated, you're better off not doing this at all!
[Somewhere under the tirade, he notices that Link is... no longer a goron. And is young, quite young.
Well. Stranger things have happened.]

[Captain Erol is hurt. Badly.
Not that Eon cared much, really. Part of her felt pleased that he'd finally gotten beaten up himself, while the other half was horrified that someone would do that and that she felt happy about it. Like revenge. She had spent some time after the incident talking to the other passengers, and she now knew just how dangerous and untrustworthy the elven man could be.
Eon is visiting out of curiosity as to the extent of Erol's injuries, and to perhaps understand the reason for his actions.]

Out of all the people he expected to drop by, this is possibly the last.]
Come to stick a knife in my side? I think there's a line for that.

I'm not that kind of person, like you are. I was just... curious, I suppose. And I wanted to talk a little.
[She glances to the side at the young boy, his apparent body guard.]
Is it okay if I stay here a little while?

There's the initial click of her having picked it up. She can't seem to think of anything to say, however, and after a moments of silence, she simply shuts it off.
That's the end of your chapter, Erol, but not quite the end of the book.]

Bored.
[He then hunches over the laptop's white-bright screen, the sound of furious typing filling the infirmary.]

Hmm. Can't interface directly with this one? Or is there a separate appeal to using a keyboard.

Can. Easier this way, though. Faster. Hafta think stupid to ja-jack in to fleshy systems. Really, really stupid. Lotta processing power.
[As for the second question, Frenzy shrugs.]
Like typing.

[My god, he even got an eye-stalk in his direction! It’s a match made in heaven.]
What are you doing with that bit of hardware, then?
[He didn’t imagine it could even access ShipNET, let alone any other network - seeing as how nothing else even existed, to hear the cyborgs complain. Perhaps there was something interesting on the hard drive?]

[That's what Remy manages to say. All he's thinking is that he hopes this isn't another brand of vigilante justice. He doesn't feel like having Erol come after him later and not knowing why.]

[Aw gee. Next time Erol comes after you, he'll be sure to let you know who picked up the vigilante torch, thus sealing your fate~]
