The Cape was full of lovely water and sun. I should feel more motivated to lie in the sun on weekends. There were also swans, who I gave a wide berth to. I then went to a barbecue where I was able to see many old friends, although I feel like I talked insufficiently to many of them (got caught up in swan culture discussions). Winnie sent me home

Would love to hear your opinion the Quiet Year. I haven't tried it yet but have heard mixed reviews. I love the designer, though; Monsterhearts is a masterpiece.

I think it's more heavily dependent than other story games on preexisting social dynamics. The game I played was pretty low-contempt, which may have been unideal. I did have fun with it, but I felt like I was telling a cute story that I wasn't heavily invested in (I think this is true of almost all one-shots I've played, though).
