i'm with you on the FF7 and secret of mana... the latter being one of the more underrated games ever in my opinion. i've been playing final fantasy 12 for about the past three months - that game is massive. i've been trying to speed it up the past week or two but i keep going off on these side hunts so a week will pass without me getting any further in the game. it's only logged 65 hours though, so i guess that's not too much time in aggregate, but with a job and a wife and other recreation (finally got bikes today) and a trip to germany, it takes a few months for it to add up. :)

i own it. i have the guide. i just don't have a moment to spare while i prepare for finals. i play a lot of dr. mario and ducktales and contra on my emulator while i study though. very fulfilling.

i cant wait to fly to california on june 1st. word.

i'm with you on ocarina of time. i drove laura nuts by replaying it a few weeks ago.

one glaring omission for the nes is maniac mansion. that's probably the best game i've ever played, so i can't figure out why it's not on your list...

i just bought a nes advantage, and regular nes and snes controllers at goodwill last week. i'm going to order some parts to make them usb joysticks soon.

also, dr. mario is way better than tetris.

dr. mario is fucking perfect. i play on hi speed now, and i can only get to (and lose at level 23). on medium i can get to 24-25-26 whatever i lose count no problem. its seriously hard.

i played maniac mansion in middle school but i have been afraid to start it now. i remember it being awesome but very confusing, kind of like a fucked up post-modern version of MYST. ps MYST is probably the most librarian game of all time.
