Moving to Google Plus

Sep 24, 2011 08:53

I'm going to move to Google plus and use "circles" for what I might have otherwise put here. I kinda like having everything in one place.

So, if you're looking for me, you can find me there.

Huh. Guess I'll have to pay some attention to G+, then. :) (I read -everything- that comes through my main LJ reading filter, lightly skim FB, and occasionally remember to read G+.)

I'll need to figure out what circle you're in. I don't have everyone sorted yet. I must have major, major trust issues LOL. I wonder if, since I don't know where I put you yet, if I add you retroactively, if you'll see the back posts? Still sussing it out...

I'd imagine so? I haven't done much beyond basic sorting--Friends, Family, Acquaintances, Cornell, Seal & Serpent, that sort of thing.

'course, I also don't post to G+ yet, so you'll miss all my Amazing Links (tm) if you don't read LJ.. ;D

My first instinct was to sort by how I knew people, but since circles determine who sees which posts, I couldn't go with that, since there are very different levels of sharing that I'd do with people within meeting-origin groups like "High School" or "Risley" or "Synchro" or "Work". So I'm really still all in a quandry.

I just checked, and you were still in the unwashed masses or "Everyone" circle where I start folks before deciding how intimate I can be with them (not that way, you know what I mean), whether or not I can talk about work with them, etc.
