I'm so sick of being handy... you have no idea.

I left graduate school so I wouldn't have to work 80 hour weeks while the kids were little. I didn't get a job in the private sector so I wouldn't have to work 80 hour weeks.

Working 40 hour weeks, and then two 10 hour days on the weekends... while not 80 hour weeks, isn't really a good solution.

Is that a parquet floor in the kitchen? The whole place looks lovely, I hope that we can find something as satisfying when we finally take the plunge.

Yep, it's real honest to goodness parquet. I'm still really amazed that we found this place. It's perfect.
