Back from Georgia, safe and sound.  I have 4 more days of radiation to go.  I feel rather yucky today.  I am staying in out of the heat (though Atlanta was 98+ the whole time we were there and I did spend time floating in the lake but then slept all day on Sunday!) I must now wear the eye patch all the time.  Hopefully the headaches are due to eye strain and are not radiation induced.  If due to radiation, I will need to be put on steroids again.  Eye strain, eye strain, eye strain!!

We spent the long weekend with Emily, Bryan and the kids in Burlington, NC.  Happy we went but I am happier to be home.  The radistion is starting to effect my memory and I am once again very tired all the time.  I have to go for radiation each day and that is about all I have energy to do. My 5 weeks of daily radiation treatments begin tomorrow. To be honest, I am not happy about having my head put into a machine and have my brain "sprayed" with radiation. My eyes will be "shielded" so there is a lessor chance of having permenant damage done to the eyes, but there is still a chance of losing more of my vision. But, as I've said all ( Read more... )

 We saw the oncology radiologist  today.  Sh said it was a good thing that thed mass hadn't changed size.  At least it didn't get larger and since I have a tumor in the brain, all my MRI's going forward will probably show something there so not having the mass change is not necessarily bad nws.  She plans to call the doctors who wrote the protocol ( Read more... )

I planted 3 jalapeno popper plants today along with 3 more basil.  The wheel and the kiln are being taken out of the house as I type this.  I will have my laundry room back!!

 There has been no change to the size of the tumor since the late Feb MRI.  I picked up the resluts of last weeks MRI this morning.  Tomorrow we see the radiaologist to find out how many treatments I will be getting.

We hope to me SMCF this coming Saturdy.

I told meself I wasn't going tobuy and more plants but I just got home with strawberry, pepper, more basil and more rosemary.  Can't stop buying plants ( Read more... )

I have a new diet plan.  It helps you not eat a full box of Thin Mints at one sitting.  It also helps you not to eat a half bag of jelly beans while you are filling plastic Easter eggs for the kids to find.
