Here's the problem with butterscotch schnapps:

No matter how tasty a beverage it may be, you can't actually drink it while in motion. Attempting to do so can only end in tears.

Therefore it is that Puck, padding alongside Darren down the hall, says quite patiently, "Are we nearly there?"

Puck has been having a rather trying time of it lately, he feels. He hasn't been in any mood at all to try the bar again, but spending the whole day indoors at Lilly's brothel is driving him absolutely mad. Havelock's room has been more or less cleaned up. The mattress has gone a little flatter than it used to be, true, and the faint scent of vanilla milkshake lingers in the air, but on the whole, things are looking a good deal tidier.
