Have I ever mentioned how much I LOVE that man's writing? I just got done ready his graphic novel "Fray" which is a kinda post apocalyptic slayer story. It was quite good. This year my family decided that we really don't "need" anything and honestly don't want for much either. So this year we are donating all the money we would have used to purchase gifts to charity. So, I just booked five nights at the Grand Hyatt SF, and a flight on Southwest. We will be in SF from 9/13 till 9/18. I would really love to get together with Sarah D. So shoot me an email, or something.

Well, the good news is that it is fixed. Turns out it only cost me 138 dollars, which I am THRILLED about. The guy who came to fix it couldn't have been much more than 22. Well, the NoVA area got hit with a massive storm front last evening.

So, I have had the D40 for about two weeks now and I am VERY pleased with it. It is about the same weight as the Canon was with my telephoto lense on it, but considering the nikon 18-200mm Lens is a good deal sturdier than the Canon 55-250mm that is quite cool.
