I have director's prep in just under 24 hours and I haven't gotten anything done. Procrastination to the extreme.
I'm not ready for this. This means too much to me to fuck it up. I'd love for nothing more than to go to sleep and wake up with a finished six minute movie.
But, unfortunately, life is not about instant gratification.
Time to get this

Five days until director's prep. Nine days until shooting.

I will have two days to shot design...

As I count down the days, I wonder...why do I put myself into these positions?

Auditioned Nikolay today for the role of Aleksander. I feel he did really well. Very eager and open to direction. The only problem he had was stumbling through some of the lines, which was understandable, given my tendency to write verbose blocks of dialogue, the fact he just read the script for the first time today, and also that English is ( Read more... )

The Film School has a frustrating habit of scheduling things for us to do at the last minute. I've given up making plans with anyone ever, because usually I have to cancel and I sound like a flake.
