I lucked out and got a seat with my standby ticket. The flight was fine and I got even more reading in. This past Saturday I found discovered a bus trip to New York. I didn't have time to sign up and pay for it so on a whim I just showed up a 4 hoping that they could accommodate me, and I lucked out. My plane was scheduled to depart at 6:15 am. At the beginning of the trip I learned a big lesson, and put it to use.
