A note on the Jim, Alex, Frank and Mike stories
There are at least three different sets of stories going on. Let me finally give a definite (or at least to some extent coherent) idea for each of the stories going on:

Thoughts upon the old ways
So to think about what it once meant to be me is such an odd thing. I used to be this quiet young man who kept all the troubles and worries and stresses inside and bottled up for so long that it didn't matter in the end.
