Holidays and Nights
Holidays can make people do crazy things. Let it be known that this winter break, starting immediately after Thanksgiving and going all the way up to Christmas Eve, I listened to Bing Crosby’s “Mele Kalikimaka” forty-seven times. At least you can remember your NYE. 19 shots later and I was sprinting down DP trying to beat midnight...

I can't remember last year's New Year's Eve, but that's because I was so lame, I slept through it.

I love that saying. Honestly, not just saying so, that always makes me laugh, especially since in my head I envision a short little old Texan man cackling it.

No kidding...the holidays really do bring some crazies out and about. Mmhm...some lady stopped by our house the other day and preached for an entire HOUR. I mean, if you want to be a religious zealot, fine, but is someone's private home really the place to launch into an hour-long lecture? I think not! Supposedly, she was some lady my father knows who wanted to see how my mother has been doing, but all she did was preach the entire time. One hour...no joke.

You know, I guess you can't really stop some lady from preaching on your property, but you could always just decide to turn on the hose and "lose control" of it for a moment or twelve.

Well, thanks for this. I've only listened to it twice and already I want to put it on a loop, knock back some of your dad's stash and decorate the cats with garland and lights. If only they'd stand still for the little star hat.

Feline Festive,
E.

I think of that ad, I think it's for Corona, where they've adorned a palm tree with Christmas lights.

And poi and eggnog.

That sounds pretty Mele to me.

Alex, you bring me much holiday joy.

I was so proud, when I heard that one girl go "Oh, my gosh, I think that's OC Celebrity!" at the party. It was totally deja vu!

That was like, the cherry on top of the old year for me.
