Gramma’s Busy
It’s hard to resist feeling lonely here in Bakersfieldtownsburgvillestonshire. I don’t have any friends here, since I am clearly too fit and have too many of my original teeth for this to be my hometown, and I haven’t made new ones that haven’t recently left for school. With nowhere to meet people but the gym and the grocery store, I’m ( Read more... )

You'd think that it would've come earlier in her 80+ years or whatever age she is.

Like, when I say I have no social life, I literally am spending my every day, sitting alone in an apartment, doing nothing. It's sort of how I picture Hell -- with no immediate problems but a complete lack of stimulation.

i spent a lot of money before moving here anticipating my lack of living. i watched buffy seasons 1, 2, 3, and 5 in their entirety over the last 3 weeks. now i have nothing to watch.

I did the same thing with Sex and the City.

"Ration them out," I told myself.

"Watch just one a day, maybe two max."

Three days later I had no more Sex and the City to watch.

I think you should go do crafts with your grandma.

My grandma doesn't want to stay overnight or come over for dinner as much as she did before she moved into assisted living and started going on field trips, making crafts and arriving at meals early and staying late to socialize.

And if you're so bored, what's your explanation for the time between LJ entries, huh?

Honestly, every bit of dialogue, and then some, has actually been uttered by her to me over a phone. I totally said I'd come down there to the assisted living home and make crafts, but there's I guess all this drama with her and these other girls over this one guy that she likes. THAT, however, is an entirely different entry altogether.

I swear she is the Gretchen Wieners of the assisted living home -- her hair is big and full of secrets, too.

I know, I have had ample time to write -- but since I don't do anything and nothing happens to me, I have no inspiration to draw on, etc etc yadda yadda. Unless you want to read about me playing too much Warcraft, I've got nothin'.
