Dad accidentally let Cricket (his Cairn Terrier) out the front door of my sister's new house in Lombard. She zoomed into the street, and was run over by a car. They rushed her to the vet, but her pelvis and rear legs were crushed. They put her down. She was only 6 years old; Carin Terriers typically live to be about 15. Cricket didn't know ( Read more... )

I'm sorry to hear about that. I had to have my last dog put down, and it's the hardest thing I ever had to do.

Thank you, Susan. It seems so ridiculous to be so unhappy about a pet dying, but you're right: she really was a member of the family.

I'm terribly sorry about your family's dog. It's always hard when you lose them...especially when it's that sudden.

I was raised by Peppi. We were puppies together, but she quickly outgrew me. I am so sorry to hear theat.
