Were the cats getting sick on the other food. I have heard for some pets you need to slowly switch them over to a new kind of food by mixing some of the new w/ some of the old.

No, they weren't getting sick, but the local stuff was sticking to their teeth. Every time they'd eat, they'd spend a long time licking their teeth, trying to clean them. The last thing I want for my kitties is poor dental health just because I want to buy local food!

Molly’s dry food has been dubbed “emergency rations” by the household. She normally eats whatever I do. The vet does say she needs to loose a pound.
