That's so awesome that you finally have a bigger place. And it looks like you got a ton of extra stuff too.

So, the previous tenant left early to work in Baghdad? Is this something is chose? Why God?! Why?! If I ever did foreign service, I would ask them to please not send me to a country that was at war.

It was, indeed, her choice to work in Baghdad. The Department offers some very strong incentives to prompt people to volunteer. They have the right to order us to go there, but so far have had enough volunteers to staff the place.

I'm with you though; I signed up to be a diplomat, not a soldier.

Bad numbers are usually good luck for me. All the Friday the 13s were either fun, or uneventful. So don't worry about it! Hope you love your new place!

I'm the same way: Friday the 13th has always been a fun day for me. =)

I barely slept at all last night, I'm so wound up about getting the rest of my stuff today. As I wandered around the apartment at 2:30 am, I noticed that it wasn't fully dark outside, just that eerie blue you get at dusk. Fortunately, the curtains here are quite effective, and my bedroom was completely dark.

So, how is life in Finland. Are you fluent yet? I am going to miss yo at the parties. Cool score on the bookcase and other free stuff. Nothing new here. Work is almost out for the summer for me so that's cool. And...well I guess nothing new.
