Maybe you could do social experiments to entertain yourself. Remember lunges on escalators? Imagine how weird that would be if just one person was doing it. Two people might be doing it as a joke. One person....what a weirdo. Life is more fun as a weirdo.
no dude...that is the crap that I pull when I'm bored. I figure, if someone else thinks it's funny we'll be friends for sure.
I am part of an animal rights group that rocks, defensanimal...but they're stationed in Valencia on the mainland. I follow things they do, translate for them...they're pretty awesome. They are totally abolitionist and have conferences about welfarism/abolitionism and protest at bullfights but...say things like neither bulls in the rings nor cows on the plates, with performance art, etc. I'm trying to start a mallorcan bloc but have had no luck at all. I post things up all over in the vegan/veg shops
i miss you guys i think that's why im in such a gd fuss.
they drive me nuts- they only care about dogs and they are so, so far away. they raise money at their fund raisers eating animals....bahhhh volunteer positions include - hot dog cook! haha
I was volunteering at the municipal shelter even though they put animals down, however they moved out of reach by bus.
I have been thinking about learning to drive a moto so that I can do more things.
Dammit - if only we weren't separated by a decent-sized body of water. :S
Seriously, I know what you are going through and it's hard not wanting to rant about it to anyone around you, fro fear of looking like you don't want to be there etc.
Gotta go, REALLY late for work!
But if you need to talk more or just blurt out in the general direction of someone going through pretty much exactly the same thing, I believe you already have my e-mail address. Feel free, any time. (I might do the same, if you don't mind me whinging! :D)
seriously! I wish we could hang out. I know you probably know exactly what I'm talking about. Complaining at all leads to harsh criticisms of my choices and/or decision to get married-- which only makes me more upset. I would love to talk to you whenever about whatever thing. Do you have aim? I'm not so good at the email thing. Did you have friends in Sitges before you moved there, besides your husband?
Mmm, no, I odn't have aim - the only thing I have is msn chat: graeco_celt@hotmail.com - I think my username is currently Boing Boom Tschak (not 100% sure, as I haven't used it for ages).
The truth is, I'm not often online in a chat-relevant way, though I'm quite happy to be online if I know someone I want to talk with is going to be there. I've only ever been online every single possible minute for the period between getting together with Florenci and moving to the same country as him! :D
Anyway, add me, if you have msn. If not, we'll think of something else. Gmail also has a chat function - if you have an e-mail account with them?
No, I didn't know a soul here before I came here. Most of my acquaintances (read: except for you and two others) here are from within the family, my work or my Catalan classes. I'm not yet fluent enough in either language to feel confident about going out and making friends on my own (there's one whinge right there but I'll refrain from burdening you with that just now!)
and...have no idea why I haven't made arrangements to go. Pau can't, of course, because of his work (well, perhaps Saturday night/Sunday...but doubt it)...but I have Friday, Saturday, and Sunday off so I'm thinking about heading out there.
not to crash your pity-party, but perhaps one evening...leaderofpackMay 10 2008, 01:27:03 UTC
you should have a "dinner & a movie" planned-- see this website http://www.tbs.com/movies/dinnerandamovie/ You'll have to improvise & make it vegan, but check out this "cheez-y" recipe inspired by "The Wedding Planner" Do You Take This Manicotti?

haha that's a great idea.
I need to do more fun and silly things to keep myself occupied. The other day Bartleby and I danced for a few hours, and then we made pau a vegan birthday cake. That was nice.
congrats by the way, on papahood. I'm not sure if I ever told you that directly. I know it's not the same because I haven't got a human child, and I'm the one who comes home late most days, but... any advice?

That's probably a horrible idea though.

I found another group...SPAC? But they sound more like the SPCA than anything.
