Grammar Porn (Stolen!!!)

Introduction: It seems that everybody here wants porn-star sex. And it seems that everybody wants perfect grammar and spelling. Are these desires compatible? Or do they work at cross-purposes? Inside its dark, and therefore inviting. How is he a grammar nazi and can't use an apostrophe?

Well spotted. I tripped over that sentence, thinking that it was the possessive and was going to continue "Inside its dark, and therefore inviting main bar area he found . . . " in which case the problem would have been the awkard comma placement, not quite as serious an infraction. :)

I forgot I even wrote that! I'm an apostrophe nazi...unless it's in phone texts, which apostrophes take too much time on those.

Heheh. The problem with trying to write something whose point is impeccable grammar is the absolute scrutiny one faces in doing so. Also starting a story by comparing oneself to Dashiell Hammett...

I was just thinking he really missed his opportunity in the last exchange. He could have had the girl say "descent" instead of "decent", further cementing the problem.
