Рональд Лаудер, который ныне поддерживает Трампа на посту президента Всемирного еврейского конгресса, был послом США в Австрии в 1986-1987. And that in point of fact they regarded Felix Bloch as a highly experienced and competent Foreign Service officer who was very much necessary precisely because there was a political appointee there without much experience.
Lauder: Well, this political appointee, myself, was able to see something that none of these other State Department officials were able to see. I was able to see what this person was like. I knew there was something the matter . . . I know 'cause I was there. I spoke to - I spoke to the various people, I spoke to the people in the State Department. They understood. At this point they're all - perhaps having a case of amnesia. But I know what Felix Bloch was like and I must tell you, I was not surprised.

Ronald Lauder, his friend and patron, recommended he hire a low-profile but devastatingly efficient Republican strategic advisor.
Arthur Finkelstein, who died on Friday in Massachusetts aged 72, had been around since the Nixon years, crafting messages for GOP candidates, analysing polling data and probing his rivals' weakest spots.
The 1996 election was the first campaign he ran outside North America, but the strategy he had developed for over two decades proved just as successful overseas.
He promised Mr Netanyahu that the gap in the polls was temporary and went about shrinking it by focusing Likud’s campaign on the threat that “Peres will divide Jerusalem”. There was no proof that was the case, but Jerusalem was a symbol of consensus for Israelis, and Prime Minister Peres, who was holding secret talks with the Palestinians and the Syrians, was unconvincing with his denials.
The political broadcasts designed by Mr Finkelstein were short, stark and repetitive.
Black shattering glass, giving way to blurry photographs of Mr Peres and Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat together. Mr Netanyahu on the other hand was shown in reassuring soft colours and light, promising “a secure peace”.
The campaign was to revolve around two things only, the American guru explained to eager Likud staff: fear with Peres and peace with Netanyahu. And it worked. Mr Netanyahu won by a single per cent, defying all predictions.

Rudy and Donald first got together in the late 1980s shortly before Donald became a co-chair of Giuliani's first fundraiser for his 1989 mayoral campaign, sitting on the Waldorf dais and steering $41,000 to the campaign. A year earlier, Tony Lombardi, the federal agent closest to then-U.S. Attorney Giuliani, opened a probe of Trump's role in the suspect sale of two Trump Tower apartments to Robert Hopkins, the mob-connected head of the city's largest gambling ring.
Trump attended the closing himself and Hopkins arrived with a briefcase loaded with up to $200,000 in cash, a deposit the soon-to-felon counted at the table. Despite Hopkins' wholesale lack of verifiable income or assets, he got a loan from a Jersey bank that did business with Trump's casino. A Trump limo delivered the cash to the bank.
The government subsequently nailed Hopkins' mortgage broker, Frank LaMagra, on an unrelated charge and he offered to give up Donald, claiming Trump "participated" in the money-laundering - and volunteering to wear a wire on him.
Instead, Lombardi, who discussed the case with Giuliani personally (and with me for a 1993 Village Voice piece called "The Case of the Missing Case"), went straight to Donald for two hour-long interviews with him. Within weeks of the interviews, Donald announced he'd raise $2 million in a half hour if Rudy ran for mayor. Lamagra got no deal and was convicted, as was his mob associate, Louis (Louie HaHa) Attanasio, who was later also nailed for seven underworld murders. Hopkins was convicted of running his gambling operation partly out of the Trump Tower apartment, where he was arrested.

His efforts paid off: Nixon received nearly 36 percent of the Jewish vote in 1972.
The rabbi was repeatedly in the throes of some political scandal or other. After Nixon was reelected, for example, he was rewarded with a plum post at the Department of Health, Education, and Welfare as a consultant on Jewish poverty programs, including a job-training program for Brooklyn’s Hasidic community. Greenwald was soon being investigated by a young federal prosecutor named Rudolph Giuliani for allegedly placing jobs program trainees in a garage in Williamsburg of which he was part-owner, as well as for creating no-show jobs. (The investigation was dropped, and Greenwald has denied wrongdoing.)

According to Interpol reports and sources involved in the scheme, on April 27, 1987, Kalmanovitch, Greenwald, and an associate left Kalmanovitch’ s lavish home in Cannes and drove to Monte Carlo where the associate opened up a business account at Republic National Bank for a paper company called Clouns International. He then desposited a number of fraudulently endorsed checks worth some $2.7 million. When the checks cleared three days later, Greenwald and the associate returned to the bank, where Greenwald was given $400,000 in cash from the Merrill Lynch funds.
Greenwald carried the money in a large black bag via Germany to Switzerland, where he allegedly turned the cash over to Balagula’s representatives in a Zurich hotel men’s room According to the scheme’s participants, Greenwald was paid $50,000, an allegation the rabbi flatly denies.
On May 22 of that year, Scotland Yard arrested Kalmanovitch at the Sheraton Park Tower Hotel in London at 3:00 A.M. It found three rubber stamps used to endorse the checks in Kalmanovitch’ s room. Earlier that day, Kalmanovitch had had lunch with Uri Lubrani, the head of Israeli intelligence in south Lebanon, according to a source who attended the meeting.
While Kalmanovitch was being led away in handcuffs, Greenwald, who was also staying at the Sheraton, threw his bags together and, without paying his bill, caught a Concorde flight back to America, according to the FBI and an associate of Greenwald. Greenwald returned home just in time for the Friday night Sabbath meal.
Kalmanovitch was extradited to America to stand trial on fraud charges. (The FBI questioned Greenwald three times, but didn’t arrest him.) Greenwald rounded up a select group of prominent Americans and Israelis to provide character references, including New York Republican Benjamin Gilman, who wrote that “Mr. Kalmanovitch enjoys a wide reputation for his integrity and business acumen.” He obtained bail and flew to Israel, where he was immediately arrested for being a Soviet spy.

В тот же день Порошенко объявляет о доставке Джавелинов.

В тот же или следующий день в Белом доме проходит ужин с участием восьми человек, среди которых Игорь Фруман и Лев Парнас. Во время ужина Фруман передает Трампу письмо от киевского раввина.

Как удалось выяснить порталу «Еврейский мир» , между еврейской общиной Киева и президентом Соединенных Штатов существует негласный канал прямой связи. Его олицетворяет Игорь Фруман - американский бизнесмен из Флориды.
В эксклюзивном интервью Игорь Фруман сообщил нашему порталу, что неделю назад он участвовал в закрытой встрече с Дональдом Трампом. Встреча проходила в Вашингтоне, и в ней участвовали всего восемь человек. Еще одним участником встречи был американский бизнесмен Лев Парнас, который так же, как и Фруман, является членом попечительского совета American Friends of Anatevka.
По словам Игоря Фрумана, разговор шел о подготовке к победе на промежуточных выборах в Конгресс США в ноябре 2018 года. Каждый из гостей имел возможность высказаться по важным для него темам, и Фруман поднял темы поддержки Америкой Израиля и Украины. Реакция Дональда Трампа по обеим темам была абсолютно положительной.
