[Bazett notices the suitcase sitting out on the sidewalk. She wonder why it has been left there. She walks around it, trying to see if there is anything strange about it. After she decides that it seems to be a normal suitcase, she grabs the handle and lifts it up to see if there is anything inside. From the weight, it is obvious that the suitcase is not empty.]

[Out of sheer curiousity, she reaches for the hatch and tries to open it...]

[It weights a bit heavy, but otherwise looks and feels like a completely normal suitcase.

It also clicks open without problem, although...

The bright flashing of multicolored lights and the sudden explosion of confettis may be more of an issue, which Bazett will be receiving in her face. Hopefully something not unlike a cheap trick out of a prank device wouldn't trigger too extreme a reaction...?]

[Bazett rubs at her eyes. It seems the owner has programmed a booby trap into their suitcase. However, whateever is inside is probably not too important, seeing as how the booby trap is only annoying and not colorful.]

[Once her eyes regain their proper function, she will try to further inspect the remaining contents of the now opened suitcase.

[There might have been something in there before, but after the lights fade and the pieces of confetti fall onto the ground, what's left in the open suitcase...

Is nothing at all.

She can look at it however she wants, it's completely empty now. The confetti pieces may be the only thing around that could've possibly hinted otherwise. Try to investigate more, ponder on it for a bit longer, maybe close it back like it was, or just decide to turn around and leave altogether? There could be something else that she can do, but hm...]

Should be, yeah. [Though what could Touko possibly have to show her... UNSURE.]

Can you come over now? This may not be the best time, with regains disappearing and reappearing without notice, but we may as well. [That and she needs to talk to you, did she skip that part on the initial message, whoops...]

[Arcueid doesn't like this thing.

Arcueid really wants to kick it into the stratosphere. She can't bring herself to do it, though...so she's just going to squat down beside it and poke at it...until curiosity gets the better of her and she wants to open it.

Hey, if somebody left it sitting out in the street it's either got something good inside or something stupid. Either way she wants to see.]

[Why would you do that, what did the suitcase ever do to you :(

But it flips open like a normal suitcase, yes. And inside...

Is a miniature doll.

Luck is one of Arc's many skills...funny considering my own Z-rank luck. makemebreakfast December 19 2011, 00:34:21 UTC
[Arcueid carefully picks it up.]

Why would something like this be in here? It's cute, though. Just who's is this?

[Now she's going to start turning that suitcase over to try to find SOMETHING that might denote it's owner.]

[There's nothing on, around, or in the suitcase that may hint towards an owner.

Right now, it's just Beaver Street, the chilling winter air, Arc, and that catty doll.

(thinking)...]

[Dexter, being as small as he is, views the suitcase as a giant, almost insurmountable roadblock. Not of the strong sort, he pokes it a few times, hoping to shake it off balance so he can pass. So he tries to call out to someone to see if they left it out in the middle of the road. Though, his curiosity cannot be quenched. There's technology from other universes here, what if it's a cool robot suit or just really a suitcase stuffed with money! So, Dexter will attempt to open the box, hoping for the best...]

[And to his luck (or lack thereof...?), it clicks open without resistance! Inside is...

A doll. Not unlike those that little girls play house with. This one in question is a porcelain doll dressed in a frilly pink dress, with blonde hair donned into two short ponytails.

Is it too girly for him to notice that it's actually also of astoundingly good quality?]

[A doll. Well, he was hoping for something awesome... needless to say, he's disappointed, but doesn't really want to toss the thing. Looks fragile. He does however, inspect the doll, looking for joints or secret weapons or anything of the sort. Or if it will come alive and he'll be forced to partake in some sort of doll war. Anything to keep it from being just a normal doll.]

it's not like it looks reminiscent of anything right dolls are so common... puppeteerings December 21 2011, 00:56:40 UTC
[There are no joints, oddly enough. It's as if the whole thing has been crafted from one piece, but is that even possible?

And no, it's not sentient. The harder he'll stare at it however, the harder those shiny blue eyes will seem to stare back. It's not exactly creepy, but...

No, this really doesn't feel like the most normal doll in the world. Are you sure you want to keep investigating it, Dexter... 8|a;]

[Bless the insane. Clearly this suitcase has some magic about it. She can feel it. She can also feel how ominous it is. Of course, she's going to see what's inside!]

[Yet just as she flips the clips, the suitcase shimmers, and less than an eyeblink later, it's gone.

...

Wait, look around, or leave?]

Hey...

[Oh, no, that suitcase isn't getting away. Marisa raises a hand, magic emanating from it, and she narrows her eyes. Totally going to track it's magical signature down.]

[Oh it didn't do that on its own, it's the power shortages everyone's been experiencing of late. She won't find it no matter how hard she tries with her own magic, but a few seconds later, it'll appear again, at the exact same spot where it vanished at.

So it this going to be take 2 now?]
