This is heartbreaking but I have to do it. If any of you in the US want any of these preloved books, leave a comment here or drop me an email(purely.narcotic at gmail) and we could figure out how to ship them to you?

Huh...the books I want are all GONE!! :) Well, anyway, I'd have to figure out how to lug them to India, so just as well!

I'm going to miss the library here inTENsely when I go back. I don't have to clutter up the house, and there's plenty to read....

*Hugs* for the pain of having to give them away. But it's a good idea, putting them up here, since you know they would be well looked after in a loving home.

Yes, what I wrote to a friend: I have nice people willing to take in my currently orphaned bookbabies. :)

I don't want this book. But I was giggling when I read that - "Crazy Bosses: Spotting Them, Serving Them, Surviving Them Stanley Bing".

Wow! it went to that extent; eh? I've known for a while and I don't want to say that it's disappointing to see you go. Instead, I'm happy that you are relieved of the burden. Wish you the very best in everything.

You were fucking lazy to move your fat ass to visit me in NY. Hopefully, that won't be the case when I come down to India.

I think I am jealous right now...hmmm yeah it's definitely jealousy. Someday, I'll go back too. :|

I am uncertain if your moving books to a new owners, implies a transition to India and home. I have been an anonymous lurker on this blog for long and have enjoyed your words and the life they wrapped around in LA. And discovered new words from friends of yours (Collapse the Light into Earth). While I wish you good sailing for your next adventure, I hope that you continue with your writing here and your photographs on Flickr, for they are nice (I stumbled upon this blog from your Flickr pictures....am thy contact who shares his name with an insect).

And since you enjoy good writing, you must glance at Leanne Shapton's posts on NY Times.

Arigato gozaimasu, Drifting Grasshopper? :)

Thank you and thank you for those lovely words. Sometimes words are all we have...

I love the All-Nighters series that NYT has started. Ironically, I stayed up all night on Friday reading through 'em all. Heh. Bill Hayes has got to be my favorite amongst all the contributors there and here's my favorite by him:Insomniac City. What an ode to New York City! :)

I did read that one too a couple of days back and was struck by the coincidence that two columnists whose words were music to me, were both insomniacs.... thought did run through my mind that maybe it was the sleepless nights spent wandering that brought life to their descriptions....thou art not turning in one, are you !
