Fay speeded straight towards Laharl's castle, where he could sense the power the demon now possesed. In the back of his head, Fay cried in desperation and tried to hold himself back hopelessly. However, now that his curse had taken effect, it was impossible for anyone to stop Fay. He had to kill Laharl. When you meet someone with stronger magic than you... He'd never thought it would ever actually happen. But apparently over the terminals counted as a "meeting" and Laharl now had magic powers stronger than his own. Not that that would help him.

Finally arriving at Laharl's castle, Fay barged straight through the doors, knocking them over with magic so he didn't have to bother wasting time opening them. Only one thing was in his mind. Laharl's death.

Though he wouldn't admit it, Laharl did jump up in surprise when the door was kicked down. He hadn't been expecting anyone to show up suddenly, and it had caught him off-guard. Thankfully he avoided letting out an unmanly scream, though.

But as soon as he realized what had happened, he scowled. Who was intruding on his palace all of a sudden? Whoever it was, they needed to be taught a lesson. It sounded like the intruder had come in through the front door, so Laharl hurried away from the terminal and down to where the entrance was in hopes of facing whoever this person was.

As soon as Fay spotted Laharl- or sensed him coming, in his current state it was difficult to tell which it was- he flew at the small man. Having forgotten to bring a weapon, he flung his arm back as he sped forward and did a quick spell which formed a long, sharp sword at the end of his arm, shining with fresh magic. He aimed straight for Laharl's chest, planning the pierce his heart. His eyes were blank as he did so, being barely aware of his own actions for the time being.

Laharl had definitely not seen that coming. For one, he had just turned the corner seconds before that, so he hadn't had a chance to get into any sort of position to fight or dodge effectively. Secondly, this was Fay. He was a bubbly, annoying guy who made jokes more than he fought. Laharl had been expecting...well, something else, which is why he had started to chastise Fay before he realized just what Fay had intended to do ( ... )
