I did the stupid thing of trying to exercise first thing in the morning.... So very clever! I was in a foul mood all day.

I just got in from hanging out a load of washing. Yes at 9.30pm. It's the best part of this bullshit weather!

Found out today officially that I wasn't successful. I was told my application was excellent, I was professional and spoke well but my interview was too short.

They have decided to readvertise and I'm being encouraged to reapply. I guess I have to get used to this bureaucratic red tape bullshit whereby being suitable and qualified isn't enough, but ( Read more... )

I haven't struggled with anything resembling insomnia in a very long time. Since my last semester of my undergrad to be precise. Funny that on the eve of my last ever assessment for my masters I'm struggling with the same form of mind numbing tiredness, but inability to sleep.

I am a list making machine at the moment. princesstramp is rubbing off on me! I have started to live out through my list next to me. I start writing down things I need to do in checkbox form and write down numbers etc as I go down the bottom of the pad and cross them out once I action. Neat system if I do say so myself.

So I found out unofficially that I was unsuccessful for the promotion I went for.

I cried. I guess this is an insight into why I'm probably not ready to be a manager. I'm no longer upset. My eyes are sore from the tears, I've said my bits, I've felt bad long enough. I'm over it.

Trying to hold it together. I had an interview yesterday and I didn't do very well. Haven't had formal feedback but initial vibes are not good. I was told that it was 'short' as it was.. And that I will get 'constructive feedback' soon. In a week.
