I ache for DJ. He doesn't know why Dean is mean to him sometimes, and it looks like he's not going to let Sam know when Dean is pissy to him.

I ache for Sam. Wanting Dean to have a better childhood, but, really, when you can smell your mom cooking on the ceiling, how can it ever be good? Finding things out that Dean never wanted to have shared. That's one reason why...

I ache for Dean. Unable to erase his own memories in any incarnation and having the innocent Dean expose the lingering pain that calloused-over Dean has wanted to keep from Sam, and from his own conscious memory. Impossible with the living little victim waking up in a cold sweat at night.

Man, do I love this fic!

I'm so glad you liked it. I just love the idea of putting the Winchesters in a classic fluff scenario and then have them not quite fit their roles because it's just so beautifully hurty for all of them.

I love this to bits! Angsty de-aged Dean is my favourite type of fic in the world, and although this wasn't technically a de-aged fic, it still had everything I love in it. Hooray for Sam looking after DJ and for DJ and Dean being similar but uncomfortable with each other. Thanks for the great read!

Aw, no, I totally get it. BB!Dean hanging out with Sam is one of the best tropes ever because it's just so cute and angsty at the same time.

I think I like it as a stand alone. Though I certainly won't say no if the muse decides to come up with a new plot bunny for this 'verse one day. :)
