Falling over
Had a bit of a weather related incident this week. I was wearing my boots that don't have any grips on the way to work and I slipped on a massive patch of black ice. I fell straight on my back and luckily managed to get up straight away without any serious injuries, apart from some stiffness. Christmas and work
Have had a bit of presant buying fatigue this week and am shocked about how aggressive people can get in sales. Nu-rave
Well I'm going to see the Klaxons perform soon, so I felt I should find out what 'nu-rave' is. It's a term that gets thrown around a lot, but I've never been sure what it meant and felt a bit uncool about not knowing. Hectic
Woah it's been a bit of a crazy week! What with placement, starting to buy christmas presants and trying to write an essay! I had a bit of a random friday night, as I went to the work do and found it a bit daunting. Housemates
This sounds evil, but one of the reasons I love Livejournal is that my housemates aren't on it, so unlike Facebook I can bitch about them and they don't know! I know Social Workers are meant to be moral and not bitch, but I think me and my Social Worky friends have got bitching down to a fine art, it's therapeutic, cos you have to be nice to people ( Read more... ) -

Friday night
Had a weird friday night, I went to a house party and it was really good and had a great atmosphere. We then went to a club and later I went outside to stand with a friend whilst he had a cigarette. Had a conversation in the pub about being single and someone suggested it's harder to meet people as you get older, which I found a bit depressing. I don't like the idea of meeting people over the internet, so am planning to go to speed dating at some point. It's not christmas yet!
I love christmas (well apart from the parental fued it causes now), but just have to say that it's too early for the shops to start selling mince pies etc.., we haven't had halloween or fireworks night yet!
