After my earlier rant, I went to talk to one of the developers of the community of practice. She suggested I outline my concerns as, while I was talking, she got a better idea of what I was talking about.

I'm a wee bit miffed at the moment. I just received the minutes from a core group meeting seeking to establish a community of practice within the faculty. We viewed the website at this meeting, which has space for blogs among other things. It's amazing how quickly you can become derailed. Yesterday, I had ideas flowing out of my ... well, lots of ideas. Today, I spent most of the morning in a conference organising committee. I've spent the weekend reading a report (amongst other things) about Cultural Commons called Unbounded Freedoms. It's a fascinating read, although I will admit, it's the first time I've read a 'whole' document on-screen. There are so many ideas in this.
