Its funny.... everyone I've told so far has been all "ohh, I'm sorry to hear that"... but I think it's a cause for celebration! I've finally got a diagnosis.
The PCOS community on LJ is really good. I'm sorry to hear you have PCOS, but I understand the happiness of having a diagnosis!
I have polycystic ovaries, but not PCOS but I'm scared of developing the syndrome as my ovaries are already there. And this year I've been putting on a fair bit of weight and missing periods. Eek.
Apparently the best people to see in Aust for PCOS are Reproductive Endocrinologists, Karen McNeil at Cabrini Hospital is apparently wonderful, I have her card in front of me on my desk, what a coincidence. I'm also Taurean and love my carbs and chocolate!
Would you consider a protein drink for brekkie? Or a smoothie? They are kind of disgusting (protein drinks, not smoothies (nom)) but are good for you and good when you don't feel like eating.
