lol. Because he thinks it's going to eat my dog. And he's not really going to hurt it. If he catches it, he's going to call someone to come and relocate it.

well don't call animal control or whatever, a lot of places/agencies won't relocate, they'll kill. once you catch it you mess it up and they can't move it anywhere, they have to kill it.
that is sad.
so just make sure you call a place that will actually relocate it!

Thanks for the advice.... I'll keep that in mind. But I don't think he's gonna actually be able to catch it anyway. I think he just likes to think he can. Or something.

Its also illegal to catch them, so be carefull... theyre not a threat, theyre more likely to run from your dog then attack it

But, if he still wants to catch it... try throwing marshmallows in the water as bait. It really works.
