Man.  Was it a crazy weekend.

Built shelves in the garage.  They are lovely.

Found a lost dog.  She wandered right into the garage.  We walked her around the neighborhood and asked tons of people if they recognized her.  Finally called frankling county to make a lost dog report and have someone come get her.  Came home tonight to a flyer on the ( Read more... )

Oh my! I'm glad everyone's okay and the damage is small and fixable (compared to what it could have been.)
Damn! I have this enormous fear of house fires (my mom's house burned down when I was like 12 and we were dislocation for a year and it was just chaos and loss. Thank God no one was home.) I make Ian check that the oven is off like twice after I check. It's nuts.

I know it was so crazy. I was in such shock and yet..there was nothing I could do at the time for them. My friend Karl's house burned too. It's taken him years to mourn the loss.

hrmmm... hit a deer... house fire... sounds like venison. I'm glad your folks are all right, my friends had that happen to their house and it was a really rough time. love and support.

I know! Holy Crap!
Me too. So So glad. It's STILL burning. After 7 Days! My mom says it just keeps smoldering and then something the size of a campfire will shoot up and burn for a day.
