I just heard on Sunday Morning that in 1968, just before Bobby Kennedy was assassinated he was asked when American would be ready to elect a black president and he replied, "40 years."

Talk about eerie. I got goosebumps when I heard that.

It was a big weekend in running for me! Thursday, January 15th was my two year running anniversary. dextrose, maltodextrin, malic acid and less than 2% of calcium sterate, artificial flavors, blue 1 lake, blue 2 lake, red 40 lake, yellow 5 lake, yellow 6 lake.

After reading the ingredients, I really don't know if I find this candy so appealing anymore.

My first customer of the day gave me hell about asking for identification. He wanted an official check for $500 and present his own check to be used as payment. I ran today [insert shocked gasp here] for the first time since 2009 began. I think it's been about two weeks and I hate that. The good news is that I ran 4.25 miles and it was a very enjoyable run and other than the fact that my shoes are new and I didn't want to overload my knees or body, I probably could have easily done more.
