I came across this post in this blog I like to read by a knitter. It is about a rape trial in which the words "rape", "sexual assault", "sexual assault kit" and other similar words a have been banned from the courtroom. How are you supposed to prosecute someone for a crime you can't even name? I'm so mad about this I can't even get my thoughts

The fact that the jury was not told about the ruling is perhaps the most dangerous thing. Such a ruling sounds like grounds for appeal. I can't believe the prosecutor couldn't argue his/her way out of such an appalling mandate.
