what about financial aid? if you apply today it will be posted on oasis this week. plus you get a waver stating that you don't have to pay student loans.

I'm already delinquent on my undergrad loans...I doubt they'd give me another one...

i know a kid in the math department who was in a similar situation and they gave him a loan. you should apply anyway since you have nothing to lose.

also the board of regents is considering establishing a doctor of public health. see item 4 on the agenda item list

Yup. If you go back to school, they'll give you a deferment, and you have to try pretty hard not to get it. Even if they have an issue with your payments being late, they'll probably let you pay whatever you need to pay over a fairly long period of time.

The more money they loan you, the more they can collect in interest, so it's in their - no pun intended - best interest to give you another loan.

Don't give up this easily. At least explore the options.

Don't give up your dream and not go to grad school! Think about it this way: either you're in debt now but still working toward your dream, or you're in debt later because you'll be barely scraping by with a crap job and kicking yourself because you didnt do it when you had the chance! Don't give up hope! I know you can do this! Surely if you're still in school they'll defer your loan payments if you request financial aid or claim hardship. And call that MPH lady back and tell her you want that spot! You deserve it!

i'm so sorry it's not working out....but you know what? you cannot give up on your dream. maybe you cant go to grad school right now, but that doesnt mean you won't be able to go in the near future. i mean, everything happens for a reason. who knows, maybe in the near future you will get into your first choice school with some kind of scholarship...you never know...
i'm so out of the loop...gimme a call and we'll catch up.
