So Skeebs came up this weekend and I finally got the chance to join the two sides of my life: Athens friends and high school friends. We hung out with Alex and Sara, Jordan and Lillian. Hey Shona, as far as the UGA vet appl goes, what if I have 2 strong evaluations from my professors, but I dont know any vets well enough to give me a good letter of rec??? I hate to ask this one doctor because Ive only shadowed him a few times...is it mandatory that one letter be from a vet??

Yea, one letter HAS to be from a veterinarian you've worked under. Your application won't be qualified if it isn't. Try asking him anyways. They are usually pretty good about writing letters even if they don't know you that well...from what I've seen, anyways. Good luck!

How do I DO that? All it takes is 2 easy steps:
1. Sell your soul to Satan.
2. Look at the guy of your choice in the eye, then look away.
3. Remember to check purse for rubbers and breathmints as he's making his way through the crowd towards you.

Follow these easy steps and you too can lasso a dude in 2.5 seconds!!

Ok Shona I have another question. If I want to apply to UGA's vet masters program, do I apply to the DVM school, or UGAs grad school or both?? thanks, Mandy

Vet master's program? Are you talking about a combined degree with a DVM? Cuz I'm not totally sure what you mean by that.

I think you have to apply thru the College of vet med, but there are a few degree programs like animal pathology I think that only require a MS degree, the site acts like maybe you can just apply thru UGAs grad school program, but its unclear. I was going to ask Teresa today, but I thought Id ask you also in case you knew...hopefully if not I can get in touch with her tomorrow. Thanks for your help!
