Laurel Hamilton, in her infamous Anita Blake series, calls it the "ardeur" the need for sex that overpowers the will and demands feeding, regardless of the consequences. I understand the ardeur too (as you know). I think it's less about sex and more about issues like intimacy, self-worth, etc. I'm happy that you've found the right guy who gives you what you need emotionally so that you don't need to try to fill the emptiness physically with someone else. :)

My issues were never about my self-worth or intimacy. Sex is just my favorite drug. Arguably, the addiction flares up when I am avoiding hard truths (like my marriage being over), but it never was about me needing to improve my self-worth. That's always good. :-)
