Warning:
This is an angry and bitter post so if you are not up to it, over the show or are OK with Michaels death, maybe you should stop reading now. I need to get it out of my system in order to find my inner positive self again that I am sure is still there somewhere deep down.

Nice family photos! Sand, sun, cheesy matching outfits...we could ( Read more... )

Hello madam Bitter Bitch. Did it feel better to write this? I must say I loved it. It felt very cathartic, and your bitter bitchiness is well hidden behind the purple.

Oy. What sucks for people who are 'alright', is to see the extent of the suffering from committed fans like you. It actually hurt me to read this (well my fucking eyes for starters! Would you get rid of the freaking purple!?) Seriously, there's nothing anyone can say Mo, except I hear every single one of your words - might not feel them as intensely as you, my friend - but I understand the HATRED of manipulation, the FEELING of hollowness, the ANGER towards people who just don't seem to care at all.

And that's what other people in this fandom can do - listen and empathize, leave a comment or *hug*. It's perhaps all we can do, but it's a start.

Thanks for writing this. It's emotion in it's rawest form, yes, but it is warranted and helpful to all who read it, and hopefully, for you when you wrote it.

I feel like I am ready to kick some real ass now.

Stop bitching about the purple. Is that your new thing now that they killed Michael?
*cries*

Thanks Rose and I know you feel differently but I appreciate your empathy with losers like me and thanks for the emails.

Wise words Rose.

Hi Mo. I don't know what to say and it gives me a big lump to read and even think about it now, after many days of pretending it doesn't exist but I wanted to give you the hugs anyway.
I don't agree with eveything here, as usual but I do agree with a lot of valid points and these are the things that unite us and always have and there are very good ones here.

PB and Michael Scofield always represented hope and faith so it was never a fatalistic story for me

Yep. They sold us the hope that one day things might be a little brighter. They did it almost every episode. This is why we feel so punished for being invested and keen to see that future.

According to Matt O and this, Michaels death was already planned a long time ago and Sara was never supposed to come back, so I can't help thinking I could have coped with this all a bit better if it was at the end of a revenge spree and save the world than now leaving Sara behind on her own because I can not cope with that. I like to have faith that it was never set in stone, and that with ( ... )

I know how much it took for you to read this and that almost makes me cry so thank you for this comment.

I think that is why so many fans are devastated by this. That and being over-invested.

Knowing all the work that went into getting her back just to have her character go through this kind of pain.

With every piece of info we get it seems to get worse and like you said in your email. They should keep their mouths shut.

I hope someday we can laugh at ourselves.
I have never hugged so much in my fucking life but I will do it again because you are an amazing friend.

I have to run so this will be quick and I will come back later to say some more, but there are two things I want to mention really quickly.

I love it *being very sarcastic* that MO now uses Went to justify this.

This upsets me too. I don't have a problem is Went likes the end at all. We all have our own opinions and likes and dislikes, and if he sees the show differently then I do, that's fine. But MO using him is ridiculous. It's like..."Look! Went likes it so that means you must like it too. It's ok, don't hate us, but if you must hate someone, hate him because he liked it and he was Michael". If you want to go in a direction, own up to it. Do not pawn it off on someone, regardless if it was completely true or not.

They seem to forget that it was Wentworth that breathed life into Michael in his very moving and understated manner that made the show a hit in the beginning (and it still is in large parts of the world) not their writing. On top of that we have a pairing that captured the hearts from fans so maybe this is ( ... )

I know and what bugs me that on some places people are getting irritated and thinking it was Went's idea. In an other interview MO said hat Went was ultimately OK with it and call me stupid but I think that is quite a stretch from being the one that pushed it.
Oh, this show made me so bitter.

It is like they are rubbing it in because we are not in enough pain already. Hmmm, that reminds me of something........I know HIAB.

Thanks Cat for stopping by and sorry for giving you all that false hope with my fake-out talk.

Totally butting in to say I agree. Maybe it's just me but I don't think Wentworth was campaigning for it or something. "Ultimately Ok" doesn't sound like the kind of enthusiasm needed to push for an ending.

In one he makes it sound like it was Went's idea and in the other it was like Went needed convincing.
Make up your fucking mind MO.

Hi Jen,

I wrote this post one day after the finale and it was much longer and even more angry. Can you believe that? I didn't want to post it because I thought it was way too negative but it is how I feel and I am so stuck in my sadness and anger, and on top of that this is also part of the experience, so I decided to go ahead with it.

When they switched from the beach scene to the montage I was already crying, not only because the last scene was so sad but also because I knew that he would be dead and seeing all the other people happy or getting away with it (T Bag) was hard. I couldn't even enjoy the Kellerman scene.

I wanted Sara back so bad and I'm still glad they brought her back but why bring her back to kill Michael a couple months later. That is not a happy ending!I now have the sneaking suspicion they did that to keep the fans happy because it was clear that after HIAB they lost a lot of viewers. Like I said to Cat they contradict themselves so it is hard to know what is what but if they indeed were intended to kill him ( ... )

I'm really glad you posted this. I have been cooling off and I'm not going to let myself care anymore because it's just so ludicrous. It really isn't worth it. They clearly don't care about the fans so I'm trying not to waste my time thinking about them and their bullshit. ITA about Wentworth and Sarah being bigger than the show. They are the face of it, the heart. I honestly believe PB wouldn't have been as successful as it was if it wasn't for this charming relationship they created. It's as if the writers resent them for that and it feels like they are punishing us. It was not the satisfying ending we were promised and I will never change my mind on that ( ... )

Hi Katie,
I knew at least YOU would comment and thanks for the PM's when I felt so sad. It meant a lot.

Like you I want to leave it all behind and maybe I will after the last episodes but it is so hard because of the investment in the character(s) so I will take it one step at the time at this point.

I honestly believe PB wouldn't have been as successful as it was if it wasn't for this charming relationship they created. It's as if the writers resent them for that and it feels like they are punishing us.I have that feeling ever since S3 and I can not shake it. It is very evident in all the DVD comments. Paul S was always raving about them and so were some of the other actors but when he left all the M/ S scenes were kind of ignored and talked over by the writers. Also in most of the interviews Went is hardly mentioned. I could be wrong but it is a nagging feeling I had for a long time now ( ... )
