Aww the middle part was so great! I love reading happy endings like this. I feel awful saying that after I saw the end, but I think that that is sort of the whole point in a sense, in that the great middle part is so much more worthwhile than all of that mentioned in the end. Remember, people choose how they want to live. You made your choice and yours is incredibly more admirable and amazing. =]

Everything about this, I agree with.
Especially this part:
"i only wish that those people i grew up with could get their act together. life is too short and your killing yourself. its not worth it. you guys mean so much to me but ive almost giving up on you. do u wanna be like this forever? or do u wanna be happy and have a family like me? or have something meaningful in life besides dope?"
To a lesser extent, I feel the same way about friends I've had that don't talk to me anymore because I'm off drugs and alcohol. I'm so glad that you're rising above. You're so strong Alicia, and that's going to take you places those kids could never imagine.

yeah it really sucks to lose friends like that. because i still care about them so much, i cant help it, thats just how i am and the whole things is that with drugs theres nothing no one can do, they can only help themselves. its frustrating but in another sense its better to move on.

i'm glad to hear that you're doing well. i'm really happy for you that you have a great relationship. hopefully i'll see you when you come back home cuz i always thought you were a good person with a good head on your shoulders.
