Truly beautiful...

This made me actively cry for joy. I'm feeling pretty shitty, as though I'm coming down with the 'flu, but tomorrow I'm going to go into the city and hug this man no matter what. There needs to be more of this kind of selfless love in the world ( Read more... )

social stuff, sharing the love, writing, plays

but cos it reaffirmed that life is pretty good

That is indeed the hug thing.
My thoughts exactly about what he's done.. and it's just such a selfless, wonderful act. It's a message to people, especially people in Sydney, to just stop for a second - stop rushing and bitching and whinging and getting aggro - and hug a stranger. Awesome.

I saw him today.. I'll post about it later tonight.

Ain't it just? It makes you think there's just a chance the world doesn't have to be so mean and paranoid..

I found the music accompanying it irritating, and it spoiled the whole experience. Am officially a dried up, inhumane, twisted creature.

Sixteen plays is just amazing! And even though I'm sure it will be a lot of work, a Robin Hood musical sounds really fun...

What's the deal with the art comps? Do they give you a theme or something?

I found the music pretty irritating as well, which is why I turned it down and listening to something I liked while I watched it. The fact that I'm a bit pms-ey probably contributed to me getting really teary, but I think the idea in itself is just beautiful.. Made me think of that time you and I went raving and I got a cuddle from some stranger..

The play has been fun/easy to write so far. Lots of witty lines and shenanigans to be had. The hard part is really going to be in the songs, but I'm prepared to give anything a go. If I can't make it a musical, it should be easy to convert back to a straight play.

The art comps are just open entry to anyone who wants in, no theme and only a few restrictions. Pretty intimidating really, since it's against professional artists, but I feel more and more confident in my art these days..
