I guess inside the Survivor single, the boys wrote messages to their Japanese fanclub. I eyed
the scans on ALLKPOP.com and transcribed them here. I'll go back and translate in a minute.
Okay, I added the translations too. Let me know if you see any mistakes. :D!

I mean it's kinda fail that he's writing THSK (東方神起) in hiragana but he actually forgot an "u". Instead of touhoushinki, he wrote tohoushinki. It's kinda THE major fail to misspell your own groups name, even if it's in a foreign language xD~

Oh well. He tried. :D! Dunno why he didn't just write the kanji. With how much they flash it around, I'm sure he knows how to write it. 8D

And yeah I also found it hard to read their handwritings >o<'' But I shudn't complain, mine's a total failure as well x3~

I can tell he had some issues with writing but honestly these were MUCH easier to read than the Super Junior Japanese messages I translated a few weeks ago. :/ Oh my god my eyes hurt after trying to decipher that chicken scratch. 8DDDDD So in comparison, DBSK's Japanese handwriting is wonderful (though somehow Yoochun just has bad handwriting all around... I heard he's got bad handwriting in Korean? He's bad in English and bad in Japanese, too 8DDD)

I'm sure Yunho forgot about the extra 'u'.♥ I know I usually forget to write them when using hiragana. ^^;
Ty for the translation.

I was wondering, have the boys ever learned any Kanji? I'm kind of new to DBSK. Well not really but still. .__.;

Korea DOES use (some) kanji, so Koreans do know it, but I think most of it is the traditional characters from China. Likely the boys don't know how much of each word the kanji covers and also how the Japanese write it, so I'm guessing they play it safe and write everything in hiragana. :x
