actually it would be cool if it was an ani difranco icon. i don't know if i want her image on it though. only her lyrics...[for your own personal uses its from her song entitled Self Evident]

"and we hold these truths to be self evident:
#1 george w. bush is not president
#2 america is not a true democracy
#3 the media is not fooling me"

maybe the image should be something like what's on my journal page.

i hope you don't mind, but i read your journal from time to time. i've read the handmaid's tale and loved it. it's an incredible book. i read it in high school instead of doing work for a creative writing class because it was just a bad time for me to be doing work and i was having some sort of bout against authority. if you're into the idea of future utopias/dystopias check out marge piercy's woman on the edge of time. it's a good commentary on the current system of psychiatric care within our culture. have a nice day.

i also look at your journal from time to time. curiousity i guess. i don't mind you reading my journal as long as you don't mind me reading yours.

yeah this is my first margaret atwood book and i've read marge piercy but i have never read that specific book. i will definately look it up next time i'm at the library.

hi i'm rachael. nice to meet you.

I just started edible woman (again) so much better this time around, though I never really got the whole margaret atwood thing.

Yes, the MA mystique, whereby any mention I have ever heard of Ms.A, has been followed by a revered silence, yet every book of hers I have ever read, has left me going - whats up with the whole Margaret Atwood thing?!?

lets all pause for a moment of reflection.
