So I saw a few bulletins encouraging people to show up to vote in tomorrow's primaries. They generally didn't endorse any particular candidate, (admirable) but I must make my own appeal to the electorate ( Read more... )

Change won't come from NOT voting. That's just irresponsible. That only means you sit idly by while others choose who runs your government.

Because no matter what, your statement won't be heard by those in charge. The system will keep running the way it always has, and the people you don't want in office will continue to be put there. And you will allow that by NOT voting.

It's better to, "waste," your vote on someone you care about and really think has the balls to run the country as it should be than to truly waste it and not vote at all.

i still don't think it sends a message by not voting. it gives the neo-feudalists more momentum. they're pleased to see us settle for serfdom without any effort on their end. in that respect i think you're dead wrong. but i don't really care because i completely believe in what your heart is saying. and that matters more.
