Expectations are important things. Especially ones that you have for yourself. They are most likely causing you to not live up to your potential. I just found an expectation that I have for myself, that there's only so much that I can do in a day. Putting a limit on how much I expect out of myself has been causing me to live up to that limit ( Read more... )

i might come to oberlin next year. i'm still deciding between eastman, oberlin, nec, and manhattan school of music.

want to try to talk me into oberlin?

Oberlin is full of insane people. By that I mean people who are totally into what they're doing, whether that's schoolwork or a co-op or student senate or any number of things. It's just about perfect for me, I feel at home here. You can make yourself completely busy all day every day if you want (I don't want, but if that's your thing...) Oberlin is the farthest school away from your parents.
