Four Weeks Until Dragon*Con....

Icicle Dress, Oh Icicle Dress....
Every time I work on this costume I get the Tori Amos song Icicle stuck in my head. Not that it has anything to do with, or is in any way appropriate to what I'm making. Sewing....
My neck is still screwed up, but I have a lot to do, so I'm trying to work but going slowly. I'm working on two projects right now; a muslin for a commission that I started in Louisiana and the ice fairy costume I'm making for Dragon*Con. It All Sucks....
We had a car emergency today. It cost us money we were saving up for something else. We're still trying to make it work, but we'll see how it goes ( Read more... ) -
What I've Been Doing....
Today is my last day in Louisiana before we head back to Georgia tomorrow. It's a really long drive, so I won't be getting in until late tomorrow evening. I'm taking most of Friday to catch up on things that needed to get done while I was gone and then the weekend is going to be spent catching up with Nigel, who I haven't seen for two weeks ( Read more... ) -
FoD Character Musings....
Now that I'm not on FoD staff, I'll have the chance to play again at the start of next season. Since it tends to take me a while to come up with a character concept I like and will be willing to stick to (seriously, it took me almost six months to come up with the concept for Mattie) I've been tossing around a bunch of ideas. I've seen several people post today about their Dragon*Con plans. I should probably be doing some planning of my own, but it's somewhat difficult, since a lot of stuff hasn't been scheduled just yet. Louisiana....

Break....
I'm going to Louisiana at the end of the week. It's the summer thing where we take Chance down to visit his grandparents for a couple of weeks--happens every summer. Honestly, I'm looking forward to the break. The last couple of months have been one awful catastrophe after another and it hasn't really let up. I just need some time away, you ( Read more... )
