Well, after ten of my twelve personal training sessions, I have gained 2 lbs. And lost no inches. I may have more defined muscles, but they're still under this layer of flab

Oh, your "current mood" made me frown! I am so sorry that the sessions with the trainer aren't helping. Exercise is one of those things that just takes forever to "show"...ya know? Do you at least feel better? I need to get into a gym...I am starting to get winded walking short distances...so bad! My cousin has been struggling with her weight since she had her daughter two years ago, and WW is the only thing that has helped. She loves going to the meetings because there is either a sense of accomplishment or a sense of motivation....both help. Don't be down on yourself, you have been working really hard!
well, it's not so much that they're not working. my cardiovascular fitness has improved, i can feel my new muscles and i know i'm stronger, but....nothing has budged. i can't exercise more (well, i mean, technically i could, of course) because i'm doing an hour of strength training twice a week and an hour or more of cardio four or five times a week. (I know, it's not that much when i put it that way, but it feels like a LOT!)
since i know WW works for me, i am pretty confident this time. my problem has always been eating right AND exercising at the same time. i usually can just do one or the other. :P
i wish! that'd be awesome! when i started WW, it was an at-work program (at my last job) but that kind of petered out. it'd be great if i could find a lunchtime program. i work downtown, so there should be one nearby.
I lost 17 pounds on WW a couple years ago...and it's back with a vengeance and I have been doing just the online and counting points for about a month and fall off the wagon every other day. Sad :(
If you can work it into your schedule, I highly suggest just signing up for the whole shebang, instead of spinning your wheels for a month like I have.
This looks like my post from last week. Isn't it so disappointing?! I do think that if you stick with it you will see more results, but whether that is the best plan for you is hard to know. I know that I couldn't keep working out the way I was, no way! Are your clothes fitting differently? I think after my experience last week I figured out when I exercise I think it is OK to eat more (especially treats like icecream and chocolate) and no matter how much I work out, I am not really going to burn enough calories to justify that. It really sucks though and I do feel your pain. :(
no, my clothes are the same. argh! but i think you and i came to the same conclusion - exercise, no matter how much you do, is no justification for eating crap. i realized that it's MUCH easier to eat 400 calories in about ten minutes than to burn it off in 45!
