I get that reality in certain TV dramas, it's important to be as realistic as possible; specifically crime dramas.  But I can't watch an episode of Bones, which I love, without covering my eyes when they discover the body du jour.  NCIS is just as bad - the "Meat Puzzle" episode was one of the most disgusting ever.  Tonight's episode was an old one

Its lovely to hear he's eating so well. Oliver goes through stages, right now he's a royal pain, even making up bogus toothache so that he can try and leave his evening meal. Meal times are just too quiet for Oliver, he'd rather be off doing things, filling his time rather than sat at a table eating a decent dinner.

It's a good thing you weren't in the Assassins Guild for the "One time I stabbed this guy and X happened" night. We got SO GROSS one-upping each other.. I was in tears from laughing at how far wrong we'd gone. I wish I had the log of that one.

Listen, I think I still have a log of you and I making up hideously inappropriate ice cream flavors that I still think we're going to hell for. Disgusting in an entirely different way.

I just don't like that graphic violence gore stuff :(

I believe it is to get the average citizen dehumanized. In countries in the mid-east it is real bodies that enable them to be dehumanized. Of course the goal of dehumanization is not properly value human life and dignity.
