As an early adopter of new gaming tech, this should not surprise me one damn bit
So, this new graphics card? WHQL drivers for it have a nasty lockup issue that takes about 36 hours to reveal itself. Whether at idle or in game. New beta drivers as of four days ago *might* fix the issue, but the only other method is to do some .inf editing to cajole an older version to accept the card. *shrugs ( Read more... ) -
Long sequence of updates, cuz I'm still alive and this place is dead
So yeah, I'm still alive, still unemployed, still haven't finished college, no longer broke as fuck, and have upgraded my computer quite significantly. Oh, also, got a smartphone - I'm only maybe three or four years late in that regard. Samsung Galaxy S3, if anyone's wondering. Had to happen sometime...
Stuck on the laptop now because my desktop's system drive just died. Knew it would happen eventually, so in about a week or so I'll be going solid-state, and consequently I'll be moving to Windows 7 as well.
